A Memorable Road Trip

Adventures with Laird & Glenda

We had an amazing time with Laird and Glenda, and the road trip to La Ventana was definitely a highlight. The farmers market was a fun spot, packed with fresh fruits and veggies and all sorts of cool handmade stuff. After that, we headed to El Triunfo for lunch, a super cute town that felt like stepping back in time with its beautiful architecture. The entire day was rich with exciting discoveries.

Discovering El Triunfo's Unique Charm

El Triunfo, which once flourished as a bustling mining town teeming with over 10,000 residents, has transformed into a charming mountain settlement that captures the essence of its rich history.

Following the closure of the mines in 1926, the community experienced a dramatic decrease in population, dwindling to just over 320 by the year 2010.

Today, visitors can wander through the town’s picturesque streets, where beautifully restored colonial buildings proudly display their architectural heritage. These structures now serve as home to delightful cafes, unique boutiques, and intriguing museums, inviting exploration and reflection on the vibrant past that shaped this remarkable locale.
