Our Journey to Ensenada la Ballena

We embarked December 27 from the picturesque Bahia Salinas after a morning snorkel and headed south towards Ensenada La Ballena where the lure of a sea cave beckoned us. As we sailed onward, the thrill of the open sea was complemented by a successful fishing endeavor, reeling in a magnificent tuna that would later become our delicious evening meal.

Exploring the Enigmatic Sea Cave

The sea cave at Ensenada la Ballena totally grabbed our attention, and we couldn’t resist anchoring and paddleboarding over to its narrow entrance. Our voices mixed with the sound of the crashing waves, creating a fun vibe that echoed throughout the cave. As we ventured further, the light dimmed and the water pressure started to change, leading us through the shadowy path. We kept going until the space got too tight to navigate, which made us head back to the entrance. It was a thrilling experience, a little spooky but so much fun.

Beach Day Adventures

Our beach day at Ensenada La Ballena was a blissful mix of sun-soaked activities, starting with a morning of beach combing and thrilling rides behind the dinghy on the wow dog, followed by an afternoon of lively bocce games with the breathtaking Sierra de la Giganta range as our backdrop, making it an ideal conclusion to a relaxing day by the sea.
