New Discoveries and Lasting Goodbyes
After an exciting day immersing ourselves in the local culture and preparing our boat for an unforgettable week, we departed from La Paz on December 14, returning to Isla Espíritu Santo & Isla Partida to explore the stunning islands alongside Logan and Cash and bid farewell to the Oatmeal Savage crew before embarking on our separate journeys.
Adventures with Oatmeal Savage
Five Days of Fun and Friendship

Our time with the Oatmeal Savage crew over the last couple months has been an absolute blast.
We wrapped up our journey with an epic five days hopping from one gorgeous bay to another, each one having its own unique vibe.
We had so much fun exploring hidden beaches, hunting for cool treasures along the shore, spear fishing and snorkeling in the clear waters teeming with vibrant sea life.
Evenings were reserved for friendly competition, as we gathered around to play board games under the starlit sky.
As we parted ways, Oatmeal headed towards the mainland while we set our course north, cherishing the memories of our shared journey and looking forward to the adventures that lay ahead.
Exploring Baja's Hidden Gems
Discovering Unique Bays
Our continued journey through the captivating Sea of Cortez brought us to three extraordinary bays, each radiating its own unique atmosphere and charm that captivated our senses.

Caleta Partida

Caleta Partida is a paradise of crystal-clear turquoise waters and magnificent cliffs, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and adventure.
Over the course of two days, we reveled in the gentle shallows where the boys had the thrill of a shark gliding past their feet, enjoyed exhilarating dinghy races, and shared delightful happy hours with fellow sailors.
Our snorkeling adventures at the northern reef were especially memorable as we tested out the new spear guns Logan and Cash received for an early Christmas gift. While we didn’t catch any fish, the boys relished the chance to familiarize themselves with their new gear and gain confidence in their skills.
Ensenada del Candelero

Ensenada del Candelero at Isla Espíritu Santo is a breathtaking destination where two elegant lobes meet, separated by a vibrant reef that extends from the shore.
Roca Monumento stands proudly at the western edge of this captivating reef, serving as a distinguished landmark that highlights the region’s stunning beauty and providing an ideal setting for snorkeling, where we were immersed in a dazzling display of colorful fish swirling around us.
After spending a few hours anchored beside Roca Monumento, we continued our journey, heading just around the corner to Puerto Ballena for the rest of the day and anchored overnight.
Puerto Ballena

Our final destination on this incredible five-day journey was Puerto Ballena at Espíritu Santo, a breathtaking three-lobed bay celebrated for its striking striped cliffs that soar majestically from the water.
Each lobe presents its own distinctive atmosphere, with Ensenada de la Raza to the north where we anchored, Ensenada el Gallo in the center, and Ensenada La Gallina to the south, offering us unforgettable views.
We thoroughly enjoyed watching turtles gracefully swimming in the bay and eagerly joined in the fun with swimming and paddle boarding.
On our last day, we ventured ashore for a morning of exploration, hiking the hillsides, scouting horned sheep, and taking turns honing our aim with the pellet gun.
